Managers comments:
Harbourne are a very strong team with both the bat and the ball and they have a number of district and county players in their side. Unfortunately on the night we had quite a few key players missing who had made themselves not available and so we were always going to be up against it. Positives to be gained though were (1) we were not bowled out within our 20 overs though in hindsight we should have scored at a faster rate and put more runs on the board and (2) it enabled some players to have an opportunity which they may not have otherwise got. Will Bacciochi and Aum Honap made their debuts for H&S and played well and contributed positively and Ben Raybould made only his 2nd appearance for the U12s and bowled well. Ben Crumpton, Harry Jenkins, Akash Sharma and Hiren Prajapat also contributed well and with their high levels of commitment to the team are valid members of the squad. Commitment in junior cricket is just as important as ability so well done to all the boys who played in this game.
Regarding the game itself, congratulations to Ashish for scoring a very good 23 and thus give Harbourne something to think about. Also thanks to Keith (Harrys dad) for doing the scorebook and Neena (Milans mum) for communications and general organization.
