2016 Programme

2015 was another very successful season for Hampton & Solihull C.C, record junior numbers, success on the pitch for juniors and seniors and even district and county nominations that has seen 5 H&S Solihull district players and 2 Warwickshire County Players.

Hampton & Solihull juniors not only competed on the field but won a number of fixtures at U9's U10's U11's, U12's, U13's, U14’s and U15’s against quality opposition. It was also a pleasure to watch so many junior players get competitive cricket and play with a huge smile and the increased number of teams and support from parents allowed this to happen.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the H&S Junior Parents for their continued support and commitment and also parents who are volunteering to take on roles as team managers this year and if anyone would like to be involved in the running of the teams please contact me. We are still searching for support and managers at all age groups so we can ensure maximum playing opportunities for our junior players.

We are also looking to improve the clubs practice facilities and exploring potential funding and sponsorship opportunities, if you or your company would like to sponsor Hampton & Solihull C.C juniors please let me know, we would like to build a new net complex to improve practice for our junior cricketers so any sponsorship would be greatly received.

Everyone at the club is expecting further success, particularly so for the junior section; to improve the junior structure this season we have made the following additions to the programme:

- We have entered 2 teams into the U11's 8 a Side Pairs competition which will mean further match opportunities for our members.
- We have entered 2 U13’s teams
- We have entered teams at U13’s, U14’s, U15’s and U16’s to bridge the gap between junior and senior cricket.

Training sessions will be split as follows:

- Year 1 - Year 6 - Tuesdays from 5.30pm - 7pm
- Year 7 - Year 11 - Tuesdays from 6.30pm - 8pm

H&S are committed to developing the junior players at the club and have also entered teams into the U9's, U10's , U11's, U12's, U13's, U14’s, U15’s and U16’s WCB Competitions.

There is also every opportunity for the older members of the junior teams to play for the senior sides at weekends as we continue to try and extend the club. H&S will be running a Saturday 3rd XI this season. This is a significant stretch for us as a club but it is a great opportunity for "Dads to play with their lads" and for the lads to get involved in a sport that will set them for the future.

As well as changes on the field, H&S are delighted to have achieved the ECB Clubmark Accreditation for the next 3 years thanks to a lot of hard work by everyone at the club, this shows our continued drive for improvement as well as our commitment to the Junior section, the safety and safeguarding of our juniors and that we have high quality procedures in place.
