2016 Programme

2014 was another very successful season for Hampton & Solihull C.C, record junior numbers, success on the pitch for juniors and seniors and even district and county nominations that has seen 7 H&S Solihull district players and 3 Warwickshire County Players. Our U9's once again showed excellent skills finishing runners up in the Solihull District U9's festival and booking a place in the Warwickshire finals day that was played on the main ground at Edgbaston.
Hampton & Solihull juniors not only competed on the field but won a number of fixtures at U9's U10's U11's, U12's, U13's and U14's against quality opposition. It was also a pleasure to watch so many junior players get competitive cricket and play with a huge smile.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the H&S Junior Parents for there continued support and commitment and also parents who are volunteering to take on roles as team managers this year and if anyone would like to be involved in the running of the teams please contact me. We are still searching for support and managers at U10's & U11's so we can ensure maximum playing opportunities for our junior players.

We are also looking to improve the clubs practice facilities and exploring potential funding and sponsorship opportunities, if you or your company would like to sponsor Hampton & Solihull C.C juniors please let me know, we would like to build a new net complex to improve practice for our junior cricketers so any sponsorship would be greatly received.
Everyone at the club is expecting further success, particularly so for the Junior section; to improve the junior structure this season we have made the following additions to the programme:

  • We have entered 2 teams into the U11's 8 a Side Pairs competition which will mean further match opportunities for our members.
  • Sunday mornings will be specifically for H&S Junior Fixtures which means more match opportunities for the older junior members.

Training sessions will be split as follows:
  • Year 1 - Year 6 - Tuesdays from 5.30pm - 7pm
  • Year 7 - Year 11 - Tuesdays from 6.30pm - 8pm

H&S are committed to developing the junior players at the club and have also entered teams into the U9's, U10's , U11's, U12's, U13's and U14's WCB Competitions.
There is also every opportunity for the older members of the junior teams to play for the senior sides at weekends as we continue to try and extend the club. H&S will be running a Saturday 3rd XI this season. This is a significant stretch for us as a club but it is a great opportunity for "Dads to play with their lads" and for the lads to get involved in a sport that will set them for the future.
As well as changes on the field, H&S are delighted to have achieved the ECB Clubmark Accreditation for the next 3 years thanks to a lot of hardwork by everyone at the club, this shows our continued drive for improvement as well as our commitment to the Junior section, the safety and safeguarding of our juniors and that we have high quality procedures in place.

Hampton & Solihull C.C Clothing
We currently have approximately 15 playing shirts in various sizes and already embroidered with the Hampton and Solihull CC Logo in stock and available from Matt Mackey. Additional playing items and teamwear is avaiable from our store on the All Rounder Cricket website. More details can be found on the club kit page by clicking here.

I would recommend purchasing your items as soon as possible to avoid any delays.
We stand by our intentions of last season and aim to offer competitive cricket to all players who register for Hampton & Solihull Juniors C.C.; the sides will be selected and notified by the coaches in advance of the games. We are determined to provide an atmosphere and culture where our youngsters can learn the right way to play and enjoy the game but equally important the right way to behave!
